What We’d Wear for Every Track on Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend Album

In 2024, Sabrina Carpenter’s album Short ‘n’ Sweet well and truly brought back sequins, babydoll dresses and the girl-next-door-look. While her ‘moment’ technically happened when she opened for Taylor and gave us Nonsense outros in 14 different languages, this album was her Polly Pocket Pop Princess Coronation. 

And while we’re still waiting on Man’s Best Friend to officially drop, we’ve already seen enough to know: that girl has been through it. Now she’s swinging back, serving old-Hollywood glamour and some serious retro-pinup meets femme fatale energy. Well, if Sabrina Carpenter’s outfits from the Manchild video and that album artwork are anything to go by, anyway. 

It’s all our team has been able to talk about, and by the looks of it, the same goes for the internet. We have the artwork. We have the debut release of Manchild and the music video. So, yeah, we’re calling it early: these are our predictions for Sabrina Carpenter’s iconic outfits in this next era.

#Track 1: Manchild

Half your brain just ain’t there. 

Same, honestly. Ours short-circuited the second Sabrina dropped Manchild to tease the new album. It’s giving: your type hasn’t changed, but your standards sure have. The outfits? Same story. It’s like a breakup time capsule, leading us through all the eras that got her here, tied together with asymmetric hems, off-the-shoulder cuts, and faux fur coats. If this is the kind of Sabrina Carpenter outfit inspo we can expect all year, we’re so in.

We’re predicting that statement red dresses, little tie-up tops, hot pants, and calling out your immature exes, are about to become the thing of the year. Deserved.

#Track 2: Tears

There are going to be tears, but the question is, are they his, or hers? Either way, we think the tears will be real, but the dress will be reflective. Think liquid satin, mesh sparkle, or sequins that look best under bathroom lights. It’s sadness, but styled. Mascara tracks down the cheeks, tears clinging to lower lashes; a silver mini catching the light. Harry said it best. We think it’s gonna be all about crying in a cool way.

#Track 3: My Man on Willpower

She is going to be testing his willpower, and so can you, because we think this song’s vibe is going to be all bare shoulders, cinched waist, and FULL eye contact. Ultimately, this is Sabrina we’re talking about, and we know Sabrina Carpenter’s tour outfits always involve a corset. So, we’re predicting there’s going to be some corset tops and corset dresses, a hint of that old-world glamour, and a striking off-the-shoulder dress. He may be resisting, but she sure isn’t *wink*. 

#Track 4: Sugar Talking

She may be short ‘n’ sweet, but she’s not falling for all the sugar talking. From the sneak peeks we’ve already seen of Sabrina Carpenter’s album cover outfit, she’s going to be serving sweet in a floral mini or midi, but with a twist of lace. It’s going to be all about soft visuals, strong delivery: smelling like the florals she’s wearing, smiling on cue, dressed to disarm and being fully aware of it.

#Track 5: We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night

They fight like it’s a sport, but they show up looking like a Pinterest board. We’re about to get the toxic match made in heaven with this song. Well, at least that’s what we’re predicting. We think Sabrina Carpenter's music video outfits for this one are going to serve put-together drama. Matching co-ords featuring asymmetric hems, mini and crop combos, and contrasting textures. She may have it all put together on the outside, but she’s a mess on the inside. Mood.

#Track 6: Nobody’s Son

We think Nobody’s Son is going to give us a Sabrina Carpenter outfit like we’ve never seen before. Stripped back, no labels. Just … her. This track feels like it’s going to be a quiet identity track. She’s pulling back from the performance, ditching the bows, ruffles, and no longer pretending to be someone she’s not. 

We’re thinking clean cuts, soft stretch, and skin she’s choosing to show. We’re already vibing with the idea of basics like fitted tanks, ribbed dresses, and strapless minis, to prove she’s nobody’s anything. She’s just her.

#Track 7: Never Getting Laid

He’s not getting laid tonight, but she’s sure going to be teasing like she might. We’re feeling a flirty, not flirty vibe, showing a touch of skin with off-the-shoulder dresses that give that classic Bridget Bardot cut, soft stretch, or maybe a ruched mini or two. Knowing the outfits Sabrina Carpenter has worn in the past, she is going to be giving the kind of chaotic celibacy energy we’re all gonna want to wear on our next date, too.

#Track 8: When Did You Get Hot?

This is not going to be a humble brag. She knows she looks hot, and finally, so does everyone else. Maybe we’re going to get a high-school throwback. Perhaps it’s about that teen-to-twenties glow-up. Either way, she’s going to be showing it off with sleek bodycon dresses in bold hues or cut-out dresses that make heads turn. We’re very much looking forward to the Sabrina Carpenter concert outfit for this one.

Okay, if Go Go Juice doesn’t give 60’s vibes, we don’t know what does. We’re about to get flared jumpsuits, hippy rompers, and long-sleeve rompers all in fun textures and colours. This is her out-all-night piece that’ll combine that synth sound we’ve been hearing from her as of late, with the iconic go-go dancer look.

#Track 10: Don’t Worry, I’ll Make You Worry

She’s calm. She’s dressed in lace. And she’s 100% not over it. This is her “I’m fine” dress, which is exactly when you should worry.  We’re predicting we’re going to be seeing more of Sabrina Carpenter’s album cover outfits with this one: dramatic lace dresses that are sheer, fitted, and just a little dangerous. 

#Track 11: House Tour

A Sabrina outfit that’s casual? Unheard of. But we’re going to see it with this one. The volume’s down, the heels are off. There’s no show to put on. No audience to impress. She’s not dressing up for anyone tonight. She’s walking through the house in something that moves with her: a ribbed midi, a strapless mini, a soft dress that hugs her in all the right places. It clings like a memory, not a statement. There’s mascara under her eyes, a glass in hand, and a quiet confidence in every step. She’s not performing. She’s home in her casual but the cutest dress. 

#Track 12: Goodbye

Sure, this track might call for something dramatic or dark, but we simply couldn’t not give Goodbye the Butter treatment. She made the shade a moment, and this feels like a full-circle exit. 

We’re thinking soft, but not forgettable. Pastel minis, butter yellow slips, and ruffled dresses that capture the light one last time. Not a breakdown dress. Not a revenge look. Just a quiet kind of confidence that says “I meant every word.” It’s not sad or sweet. It’s final.

The songs aren’t out yet, but us girls here at Selfie Leslie already know exactly how she’s dressing for every track, and we’re ahead of the moment. Right or wrong about our little predictions (though we’re feeling preeettyy confident), we’re well and truly hyped for this drop.
